Ago Tsujimatsu-toge Pass(Ago Tsujimatsu-toge )

安居辻松峠

Even the original pine tree has been ruined.

The Ago Tsujimatsu-toge Pass is where the trail splits into two directions: one way leads to the Ago area, and the other to the Tsubaki area. If you arrive at this point, it means that you have walked ichiri (approx. 4 km) from the Ichiri-matsu Mound Remains, which can be reached shortly after exiting Sodo-ji Temple. A jizo statue stands near this section, and beside the trail close to the fork lies decaying fallen pine trees. Like other locations, a group of pine trees had been planted in this section as well, as a guidepost, yet they were burnt down in a wildfire in 1943.
