Classic Japanese Townscape along Old Streets in Miwasaki(Miwasaki-no Kyu-kaido-no Machinami)

三輪崎の旧街道街並み

Townscape that brings back memories of the Showa Era in Japan

Miwasaki in Shingu City used to thrive as a whaling town. Located along a part of the Kumano Kodo that passes through the center of this town are old streets and buildings that still retain traces of the Showa Era (1926‒1989). Your attention is particularly drawn to Miwasaki Seinen Kaikan (“Miwasaki Youth Center”), which is said to have been built 90 years ago.
