Statue of Acala (Fudo Myo-o) near the Tonda-zaka Slope Teahouse Remains (Chaya-ato-no Fudo Myo-o)

旅人を見守る不動明王

Statue of Acala (Fudo Myo-o) watching over travelers

The remains of the Tonda-zaka Slope Teahouse, which was normally set up for a temporary period only when people of high rank passed by the area, are located on a mountain pass. There was a time when the teahouse was established permanently in that area, yet it disappeared sometime during the Taisho Era (1912–1926). A statue of Acala (Fudo Myo-o) stands near the remains, watching over travelers with keen eyes.
