Going to Ichinose-oji by crossing the Iwata-gawa River (present day Tonda-gawa River) from the area near Inabane-oji used to be a course the pilgrims of the Kumano Kodo followed in olden days. The origin of the groups of Lycoris radiata (red spider lily) that grow in the area along the Iwata-gawa River dates back to around 2010 when local volunteers planted the bulbs in an vacant area (approx. 300 m²) near Inabane-oji Shrine. Presently, around 20,000 red spider lilies bloom in that area.
