Dawn at Koya-zaka Slope（Koya-zaka-no Yoake）
Stone monuments bathed in a sunrise glow
If you walk about 5 minutes from the Koya-zaka Slope entrance, you will reach a scenic spot from which you can enjoy a superb view overlooking Ojigahama Coast. Situated near the spot are three sacred stone monuments (one “jizo” statue with two flat stone steles) called “Mitarai-no Nenbutsuhi.” The morning sun that rises over the horizon shines beautifully upon these stone monuments.
20 minutes’ walk from the Kumano Kotsu Bus stop “Hirotsuno” [広角]/ 5 minutes’ walk from the Hirotsuno[広角] side entrance to Koya-zaka Slope (located on the side closed to Shingu City’s urban area)
