Dawn at Koya-zaka Slope(Koya-zaka-no Yoake)

高野坂の夜明け

Stone monuments bathed in a sunrise glow

If you walk about 5 minutes from the Koya-zaka Slope entrance, you will reach a scenic spot from which you can enjoy a superb view overlooking Ojigahama Coast. Situated near the spot are three sacred stone monuments (one “jizo” statue with two flat stone steles) called “Mitarai-no Nenbutsuhi.” The morning sun that rises over the horizon shines beautifully upon these stone monuments.
