Cherry trees on Mt. Nanakoshi-no-mine and Oyunohara

Mt. Nanakoshi-no-mine lies on the opposite side of Oyunohara (former premises of Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine) across the Kumano-gawa River. In the Nanakoshi-no-mine Forest Park at an elevation of 260 meters, there are approximately 1,000 cherry trees including Yoshino cherry and weeping cherry trees, attracting many visitors who come to enjoy flower viewing in spring.
