雨のかけぬけ道

Ame no Kakenuke-michi

The Kakenuke-michi path connects Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine, Nachisan Seiganto-ji Temple and Myohozan Amida-ji Temple. The route was additionally registered as a World Heritage site in 2016. Since ancient times, Myohozan has been believed to be an entrance to the land of the dead, and there are many stories related to it. On rainy days, the mossy road and deep forest add to the otherworldly atmosphere even further.
