Nabiki-ishi Rock along the Kumano-gawa River(Kumano-gawa-no Nabiki-ishi)

熊野川のなびき石

Gigantic rock fluttering in the wind

If you take a boat ride down the Kumano-gawa River, which is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for serving as a river pilgrimage route, numerous scenic spots and odd-shaped rocks appear one after another on both sides of the river. The Nabiki-ishi Rock is a diagonal rock formation that looks as though it is fluttering in the wind.
