Nachi Waterfall Halfveiled in Fog（Kirinikasumu Nachi-otaki）
Mysterious, large waterfall half-hidden by fog
A distant view of Nachi Waterfall, the highest single-drop waterfall in Japan, with a three-storied pagoda is the most spectacular sight around Mt. Nachisan. This view varies as the season, time and weather conditions change. In particular, on a fog-filled day, you can experience a moody scenery filled with mystery, a kind of scenery you can often encounter in Kumano.
Get on the Kumano Kotsu Bus at JR Kii-Katsuura Station or at JR Nachi Station, and get off at “Nachisan”[那智山] stop. From the stop, walk 10 minutes to Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine or Nachisan Seiganto-ji Temple.
