At the entrance of Kokuji-toge Pass, white flowers of gooseneck loosestrife bloom in summer. It blooms in sunny places in mountains and fields, and is named “Okatorano-o” in Japanese since the tip of its spike droops like a tiger’s tail (“torano-o” means “tiger’s tail”).
