The Hirune-chaya Rest Area, located in the Shiomitoge-goe Section along the Kumano Kodo, commands a superb panoramic view over Tanabe Bay. In autumn, the ginkgo leaves turn yellow in front of the facility. When the leaves fall, a yellow carpet covers the entire area.
